Her Babies

Please meet the additional 'family members' in our family.
Inseparable soulmates.
Eat, sleep, play and even goes to the washroom together.

HAPPIE'Baby' with brown ears (background) -
 BA-JE-YU
Little 'baby' (Sounds korean to me.  I don't know how she came out with this name but that is her name.)
According to Isabelle, Happie is the Mummy of Ba-je-yu.

And so, I am anticipating bigger luggages from now onwards whenever we travel.  Extra space for these 2 little 'babies'.

Did school holiday just said hello?  Here is wishing you and your loved ones a happy holiday.  Safe journey wherever you go and have lots of fun!

Banana Leaf Rice & Masak Masak

I love Saturdays!!! Well, who doesn't right?

Our plan to go to the park had to be called off when it started to rain the moment we step into the car. So we made a detour to the market to get some groceries for next week. While I shop around, DH took Isabelle to a toy kiosk and bought her her first masak-masak set (toy cooking set). She was very excited and keep telling us 'Please open'. We told her she had to wait till we get home and she was obedient and cooperated. Then we head for banana leaf rice lunch at TTDI Sri Paandi! It has been a very long while since I had this. If memory serves me right, before I had Isabelle. We always enjoy watching Isabelle experience new things, and we know this one would be no different too! What more, this is her first banana leaf experience!

Playdate 03.03.2011

In this picture(from left): Mikhail, Isabelle & Eva
Not in this picture : Angus and Erica

Picture taken from playdate at Vanessa's home yesterday. Mummies had lunch, ideas-info-exchanging and ranting session. The 5 kids had a party and a blast.

Result : Vanessa's home turned into a post-war zone, toys literally E V E R Y W H E R E.
Conclusion: Loads of fun, great way to kill time/boredom and kids fell asleep way faster during their nap time back at home after the session.

Take It Out Mama

“Take out… Mama…take out”

No… not my clothes. But my glasses. Isabelle has developed a strong rejection against my glasses. Each time I put on my glasses to watch the tv or do something, she wants me to take it down immediately. I tried all ways to distract her but no won’t do. And no, it is not because she wants to toy with it but she just refuse to let me to put it on.

My sister-in-law said she is unmistakably a fashionita baby. Well, I think glasses does look fashionable too, don't they?

Okay, that’s all for now. And let’s hope Isabelle will try to accommodate to me needs towards my pair of faithful glasses. Hope you have a good week ahead! God bless.

New Toys

One of my parents close family friend gave Isabelle a pair of cute ducklings and baby chicks. The last time I ever seen or touch one was countless years ago. They remind me of my fun and unforgettably warm childhood. Lots of fond memories came back to mind just by looking at them. So I think it thrills me more than it does to Isabelle. Of course, she got all excited when they came on board.

Since Isabelle is too young to handle such delicate creature, all we allow her to do was to pat them on the heads while we held them in our palms and watch us feed them.

They are oh so so so adorable. I wish they don't grow up too fast and lost their cuteness too soon :)

Mummies' Lunch and Kids' Playdate

One of the ways to kill time and be sane/normal is to have Mummies meet Mummies and kids to play together.

Dressed up for her date

Me and a friend have been doing this on a regular basis to well.. stay sane. The kids deserve a chance to be out of home and to see some new faces (other than Mummy's day in day out).

Yesterday, we met up for lunch. It is always nice to see our kids getting along well, play together happily and no fighting over toys! While they play, we adjourned with our lunch. Vanessa made pasta and I brought over some corn muffins I made the night before.

In their own deep thoughts..

Mikhail, wailed miserably when it was time for us to go home. Not only he cried, he held on to Isabelle and did not want to let go. And the wailing continue and when we managed to get him off Isabelle, he pulled on to her dress. What a drama.

Flashcard Rules

Isabelle loves her flashcards but yesterday, she found something new to do with it. She arranges it back into the box and all in the right direction with pictures facing upwards. We tried to put it in another direction or with pictures facing the back or upside down. That irritates her. She took cards out the whole box and did it all over again. Now this will save me tonnes of time putting it back in the box in the future. :)

Busy Baby

Managed to find Isabelle something new to keep her occupied. All we needed was her Vtech Smart Wheels and a set of keys (with rounded edges). Being a curious little toddler, this works because it keeps her figuring out how to get the keys in all the holes around the little 'bike'. I am surprised this could easily keep her busy for a good whole 20 minutes!

Just Another Good Day

"When can I use this bag & go kai-kai?"
Color of vain-ness starting to show.

"Another typical day at home with my toys."

My Little Helper

Although clumsy, she look absolutely adorably helplessly cute when she help to pick up her toys after her play time. This is day no. 3 she understands "Pick up your toys and keep in the box" and put it into action :)
