I'll Be Missing You

I will miss playing the piano while looking out into the mountains, green and serene.

I will miss the smell of the wind before the rain comes.

I will miss the way the wind caresses my face.

I will miss the warmth and the feeling of familiarity.

I will miss the sense of belonging.

I will miss sharing and passing down the kind of fun I had during my childhood with my little girl.

I will miss ransacking the old junkbox and discovering and experience the joy of my childhood again.

I will miss traveling to memory lane each time I see a familiar face and place or see something I have known for almost all my life.

I will spend the rest of the days missing everything about you, my dear home sweet home because really, there is nowhere like home.

But most of all, I will miss you. Ma and Papa, I will miss being near you and be your little girl again. I will miss seeing how your faces lit up every time you play and entertain your adorable granddaughter. I will miss how she makes you giggle with joy and I know how much it reminds you of the younger me. Home...carefree, secure, protected and where I belong. And until we reunite again and have loads of fun together, I submit the misery of missing you into God's hands.

Ma, Papa.. thank you for being such wonderful parents to me and has always given the best to me in everyway you possibly can. I can never thank you enough for your love. I can never ever in this life repay for what you have sacrificed for me. But I can keep you close in my prayers, every single day. May God bless you with the best of health, a joyful heart and send you many blessings in many ways. May He keep you safe everywhere you go and thank you Lord for making my kind parents a blessing to those they know. Please Lord, keep them and fill their lives with peace, lots of love and joy. Amen.

You should have stopped to say Hi to us Carolyn! I would love to meet you in real :)

I think we were there to take pictures of the 'drinking water' tree and the boat station. You must have saw us when I was taking picture of my parents and Isabelle :)

I wasn't sure that's why. If I'm mistaken then pai seh mar. Where is the 'drinking water' tree. aiyah i didn't know abt that. Yes, I saw you at the boat station. If it wasn't for your mum, I think I wouldn't have noticed you guys. She got a shock when my son fell on the steps. LOL. She must be thinking I'm a terrible mum. She doesn't know how active my boy is making me run here and there after him. :)

Hey Carolyn!

The 'drinking water' tree is the big old trees along the lake, arching towards the lake. It is one a kind and not commonly found anywhere else. Unique.

Small world eh? I have not been to that boat station for almost 20 years! And there, you spotted me :)

Next time, let's say Hello!

My mom knows very well all kids are cheeky and active. Isabelle is no different from that. So no, I doubt she would think anything negative about you.
