This is one of the dish I grow up eating. All the good stuff rolled into one, the greens, protein and meat. I try to make one dish using beancurd atleast once every week and last week I made this.
Ingredients:
1. 2 pc of beancurd (diced and panfried)
2. Porkbelly - sliced. Amount is up to individual preference
*Marinate with soysauce, a dash of sugar, pepper and shaoxing wine
3. Leeks
4. Chopped garlic
5. Sliced onion
Seasoning:
1. 2 tsp soy sauce
2. 1/4 tsp sugar
3. 1 tsp oyster sauce
4. A dash of pepper
Method:
1. Saute onion and garlic till they soften
2. Add in the pork belly and let it caramalised
3. Once the pork belly slices turn golden, add in the seasoning. Add a little bit of water and let it simmer.
4. Add in leeks and stir well. Don't overcook the leeks.
5. Dish out the pork belly and arrange the previously panfried beancurd on the side
(Alternatively, the beancurd can also be cooked together with the pork belly).
Result:
DH - Leeks! Cook again soon.
DS - Ho ciak. Like Mom's.

This looks interesting! I usually just use siew yok if I cook leek. But then my family don't really like leek but I do :)
wow you'vebeen cooking. haha... over here I've just gotten so lazy with the cooking and so bored with my own. Hv not tried this particular dish before.
Yeah Germaine, leeks and siew yok makes very good buddy. Thank God all of us adores leek, specially when cooked with pork :)
