Favourite Moments

Yes, we still co-sleep with our little Isabelle who just turned 3 this May

And I am loving every moment of it,
even though it means having her hands punching and slapping my
face throughout the night,
her saliva drooling and drenching me and my pillows.
Eventhough her toys occupies like 30% of our small queen sized bed
and DH has to continue to sleep on the pull out single bed next to us
(so near, yet so far).
And lately, she seems to enjoy sleeping on my FACE!
Last few nights, being half asleep, in the middle of the night,
she literally turns my face to face her and then, yes,
slept on my FACE!

Despite all that, she made all that my favourite moments
and I would not trade it for anything else.

Sleeping Positions

Picture sourced from google search

Poor Daddy, ends up sleeping on the couch.
For our case, Daddy sleeps on the single bed pull-out while me and Isabelle comfortably hoards the real bed.
Daddies, thou art so great and generous! :)  Thank you!

So, which of the above best describe your family's sleeping positions?

This is how she sleeps

Isabelle has recently develop a favourite sleeping pattern.  With her 'dogs'.

She sleeps on her toy dog, like a pillow.

And she likes to put her toy dog on her back.  Even when she wakes up in the middle of the night, she searches for her toy dog and put it back on her back, naturally and unconsciously.

Does your little one(s) owns any special or funny sleeping pattern?

Dreamy ABC

It is 2.30am when I documented this. Why? Because when I was about to shut down my laptop for the day/morning and let it rest as it has worked hard for me the whole of today, I heard my little Isabelle, sleeping right beside me on the bed, singing, at 2.30am . :)

She sang ABC in her dreams. I wished I recorded it because it was just so adorable and I know it would be amusing at the same, heart-melting to replay & listen to it over and over again.

I should call it a day now. Maybe she will sing again. :)

Good night and sweet dreams!

Routine is Powerful

We usually bath Isabelle in the late afternoon after her play session and then before bed time, we will clean her up again and change her into pyjamas, say around 8.30pm or so. But tonight, while me and DH were so engrossed with a series episode on Astro, we hear her whining and keep pointing at the corridor (leading to our bedroom) and babbling her alien language. We thought she was bored and wanted her toys or just our attention. After a few failed attempts to distract her with our eyes half glued to the tv, only we realised it was already 9pm and way past her pyjamas time. No wonder she kept pointing at the room and pulling her clothes. She is a good and prompt reminder @ alarm clock.

All the routines finally proven its power today.

My Thoughts Today

Watching Isabelle as she sleeps is one of my most favourite thing to do, be it her afternoon nap or in the middle of the night. She looks so much in peace and my mind wonders far far away while I watch her.

Overwhelmed with the unconditional love I have for her yet drowning myself in worries and fear. I wonder what lies ahead for her... will she have a joyful childhood like I had... what type of person is she going to grow up to be... am I doing enough for her... am I doing everything right for her... there never seems to be an end.

One thing for sure, I could not imagine my life with her before she came around and now that I have her here, I can never imagine my life even for just one day without her. And because of that, I will give her the best I can in everything. And somehow it is becoming more vivid to me that being a mother is who I am destined to be.

Cheers to mummyhood :)

She Loves Monday!

Monday may be a grief to most. But looks like my little precious enjoys her Monday. Or maybe, she enjoys each & every single day. All she does was eat, play, sleep, cartoons ... and not forgetting, making her Mama chase after her all day long and sometimes drives her nuts and up the wall.

This picture shows that she is having a blast watching her show on tv. Life of a toddler in one word, GOOD!
